DIVING BY LIVEABOARD IN THE PHILIPPINES

Philippines diving highlights:

The Philippines are well known for their impressive coral gardens, colourful reefs and high biodiversity of macro critters, such as Pygmy Seahorses or Mandarin Fish. A little further afield you can find Mantas, Thresher Sharks, and plenty of other large pelagics wherever the currents are pumping. Whale sharks are also regularly found during the right season.

Philippine Siren

The 40 metre S/Y Philippine Siren luxury diving liveaboard was designed and built using the lessons learnt from the first ever ‘Siren’ yacht, the S/Y Siren, and has been modified to better suit the growing needs of guests. The 8 cabins are all situated forward of the engine room with 2 fixed double bed cabins located at the bow and 6 twin bed cabins throughout the remaining lower deck quarters, however a certain amount of flexibility is offered with 2 cabins which can be converted from twin to double should guests require (cabins 5 & 6). The outdoor dining area offers a superb setting for all your meals, with comfortable bench seating set in a semi-circular shape. The dive deck is likely one of the most spacious you will have come across, excepting other Siren Fleet yachts!

Atlantis Azores

The Atlantis Azores has set new standards in liveaboard diving in the Philippines. Azores is the perfect liveaboard from which to explore some of the best diving in the world – there are three distinct itineraries on offer showcasing the most beautiful parts of the Philippines, on schedules only possible by liveaboard.

The majority of trips embark from either one of the world class, dedicated Atlantis dive resorts, which are considered by the resorts themselves to be among the best in South East Asia.

The newest itinerary, from January through early March, takes in the wrecks of Coron with the colorful walls of Apo Reef along the way.  Guests embark and disembark from the Atlantis resort in Puerto Galera. Staying here before your trip departs is not compulsory, but makes things a little easier.

The Tubbataha seasons runs from mid-March through early June. On this trip you will explore the many kilometers of this wonderful UNESCO World Heritage site. Tubbataha is located 100 miles offshore and open to diving only 3 months of the year.

Dumaguete is the base for the months of June through December and our Visayas Safari is a unique opportunity to take in multiple beautiful islands in one week – something that would take several weeks to do any other way. We also offer special Malapascua “Thresher Shark Trip” from our Dumaguete resort.
